Aguarela Digital

Aguarela is the website for Aguarela Digital, a digital agency founded in 2018. The project was created to help local brands and businesses with their digital platforms by creating unique social media strategies and quality content. Aguarela provides services like social media management, content creation, communication design and social paid campaigns.
I was responsible for the whole development and implementation of the website except for the UI design. Other than that, I developed the code, optimized images, acquired the domain and took care of the website hosting.Even though it was a simple static website, this allowed me to have a broader view of the whole process of building a website and putting it online. Furthermore, I was all by myself while doing it and therefore I can consider it as my first freelance job.Next.js and React were the two main technologies used in development since the goal was to use the latest tech stack available for a relatively simple and static website.
Lighthouse is an open-source, automated tool created by Google for improving the quality of web pages. It runs a series of audits that generate a report indicating where and how to improve your page/website. It audits Performance (page speed), Accessibility (for invisuals using screen readers for example), Best Practices (general development practices) and SEO (search engine optimization)
Since this is a static website that didn't rely on backend, I had total control over its content. This includes the biggest performance throttler: images. In this website, all of them are optimized and that makes a huge difference, contributing heavily to the 95% score. Apart from that, I was very strict with the quality of my code and that reflects on the high scores on the other departments.
