Galp is a portuguese company of oil and gas exploration founded in 1999 and one of the most relevant in Portugal's petroleum industry. Galp Energisers Summit was a corporate event that took place at the beginning of 2019, gathering 36 speakers and more than 1000 people in Lisbon. The goal with this project was to create an interactive app which would be used at the event to check the schedule, the event's layout and create more engagement around it. It was developed using Progressive Web App technology instead of a native app.
My role
I was not the main developer in this project, I was brought in after it already started to help with creating new modules and fix some bugs. Therefore, my impact on it was not that big. It was, nonetheless, enough to get me into some technologies and frameworks that I had never work with, such as MongoDB and Heroku, as well as Progressive Web Apps (although this one was already familiar to me).
